Skankandbass is dedicated towards the official promotion of record labels and artists in the world of drum & bass music. Since inception in 2009, Skankandbass has unearthed some of the freshest talents in the scene and has opened many doors for unsigned artists. Now, through Skankandbass Introducing we release a series of free download singles which aims to spread the work of the best unsigned, newcomer artists who deserve more recognition.
After eighteen releases last year showcasing the best newcomer talent, our first single of 2020 picks up right where we left off with Josh Schofield aka Dedman. While the Bristol based talent has been gaining traction with a series of accomplished releases on up-and-coming labels, he properly came onto our radar last year with his excellent ‘Stockholm EP’ on Lost Recordings. On SNB063 he shows off his dark sound design on A-side ‘Jackals’, and recruits fellow newcomer LNO on the heavyweight ‘Morsel’.
